Fibercement

The idea of finding solutions for exterior and interior surface claddings of buildings has encouraged mankind to develop different products. Production of asbestos based boards used widely before 1990, was terminated since asbestos was prohibited. Producers searched alternative products. 2 main product groups arised as a result of the attempt one of which is syntetic fiber based cement boards and the other one is fibercement boards.

Fibercement products consisting of natural cellulose fiber, cement and ground silica instead of synthetic fiber and are prefered especially because of usage as exterior and interior plain facade cladding. Synthetic based fiber products are used mainly for pressed roof materials.

Fibercement boards were started to be produced only and initially in Turkiye by one of our Holding Companies, HEKIM YAPI Co. And by using this latest technology,like it is used in construction industry in developed countries i.e.U.S.A, Europe, Canada, Japan etc., we bring high quality, economical production and aesthetism to the construction industry in Turkiye.

Fibercement Board Production Process

As shown at the diagram above, the high quality silica sand granulated at a special mill  and becomes mud by mixing with cement, water and cellulose.

Boards stacked in the moulds, right after they are sized, are autoclaved under high pressure and temperature. Thereby the products which are resistant to the worst atmosphere conditions by now; become ready to deliver, after they complete their waiting period at the stock area. Because of the fact that HEKIMBOARD – TURKSIDING branded fibercement boards; which we use for external-internal  surfaces, ceiling and chassis covering in Prefabricated buildings and Containers; are put in the oven under hish pressure and temperature so they are prevented from deformation from temperature differences and climate conditions. There is no wooden swarf, asbest, plaster and PVS fiber in the content.
